Hi one and all.
Was reading the newspaper and came upon an article in the sunday times.
New drug for longer eyelashes
When Ms Neoh Sue San,41, started using a drug called LUMIGAN to treat her glaucoma condition in May last year, she found that it had an unusual side effect- it increased the length of her eyelashes.
Latisse contains the same active ingredient, bimatoprost which is supposed to induce longer, thicker and darker eye lashes.
The drug made news two weeks ago when it became the world's first and only treatment to be approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration(FDA) to treat eyelash hypotrichosis, another name for having inadequate eyelashes.
While the drug will now be sold only in United States, there are plans by the company to bring the product to Asia.
For one thing, it is a topical treatment that only requires applying the solution to the eyelid rims to get natural, thicker and longer lashes.
It doesn't involve any injections at all.
Still, the eyelash enhancing effects of Latisse is not permanent. Lashes may return to their normal, genetically determined length withink few months after discontinuing the drug.
Then, there are the possible side effects like itching and redness of the eye.
The solution is also not cheap. It retails at US$120 (S$175) for a 30-day solution in the States.
Interesting hur.
Something like botox for more beauty treatments :)
I'm using the computer now WITHOUT the mouse and going tab tab tab tab tab till I reached the button I want to click on.
Quite a hassle but it's fun ? :)
Monday, school starts!
Gbye!
